The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 2.3
Maybe you have backed up some of your favorite DVDs in your computer's hard disk, and now you want to burn them into physical copies. This program allows you to do so, no more, no less. It has a very simple interface that any person can understand. You only need to locate the folder where your DVD backup is stored (typically, VIDEO_TS), and click on the Burn button. Is that simple.
The new version of the program has a simpler, sleeker interface and has some extra options. For example, it allows you to verify the disc data and/or eject the disc after burning, as well as remove the video files once the disc has been burnt and finalize the disc so it can't be used for burning extra files. You can set the burning speed and give a name to your DVD as well.
The simplicity of the program is its biggest asset as well as its worst drawback. Albeit being easy to use, it lacks many useful functions, like the ability of backing up your DVDs, since it works with already backed up files.
The installation wizard suggests you to install the DVDVideoSoft toolbar in your Internet Explorer or Firefox Web browser, but you can decline to do so and still have the program installed in your system. |
